About me

In excess of thirty years experience, from the drafting board to CAD and 3D modeling. I can design your next project as a draftsman, designer, CAD operator and project manager.

My experience started in 1982 on the drafting board with mechanical pencils, drafting paper, ink pens and slow labour intensive ammonia filled blueprinting machines.

In 1983 I completed a Engineering drawing course with NSW TAFE and 1984 a Fitting and Machining trade course with pneumatics and hydraulic components.Training as a Fitter / Machinist as well as workshop experience with my employer in the manufacturing workshop provided tremendous experience. This experience assists greatly in providing the information manufactures require to use my drawings efficiently. To complement this experience I have studied NSW TAFE Associate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

I first used a computer to produce drawings in 1988. It was a slow process. Watching the pen plotter work was amazing. Realising the ink had dried up in the pen was frustrating. It was not until 1992 that I started using a computer full time as a draftsman.

Most of my experience has been as a mechanical design draftsman working in the grain and stockfeed industries. Process equipment and material handling. Structural drafting has also featured a lot in my work history.

I have had limited experience in electrical and civil drafting. Electrical P&ID drawings and schematics, Site layouts, concrete driveways/hardstand areas with drainage.

Give me a call for your drafting needs from detailing a valve to designing your processing plant.
